The Shimano Ocea Jigger reel is a high-level reel, with bronze pinion, created for the Japanese market, ideal for jigging in deep water, especially for heavy use from vertical to slow pitching to slow jigging. The X-Ship system greatly increases the recovery power, facilitating the fight with the most difficult to tame fish and guaranteeing fluidity in every fishing situation. Its Super Free spool allows total control of the depth, even when we fish in a strong current, and thanks to the particular narrow throat design (60 x 25 mm) it makes winding the line easy. The star clutch is waterproof, and has a maximum drag of 10 kg, obtained thanks to the carbon discs with a slightly larger diameter. The Shimano Ocea Jigger is equipped with 8+1 S A-RB bearings (stainless steel bearings with extra shielding). On the body there is a micrometric adjustment ring of the mechanical brake with reference numbers which allows you to adjust the lateral tension on the spool. The stainless steel barrel attachment plate is fixed directly to the rotary frame, thus making it very low. Anti-reverse is provided by a one-way roller bearing integrated with a ratchet wheel with retaining tooth which offers additional safety. The crank is located on the left side and can be mounted in two different positions, one with a total length of 73 mm and one of 85 mm. On the right side there is a button which has the function of blocking the reel, very useful in the event of stranding on the bottom or when you want to definitively stop the reel, such as in the very last stages of loading the prey under the boat. The HG (High Gear) version has a recovery ratio of 6.3:1 and allows for quick and easy recovery (approximately 117 cm for each complete turn of the handle), while the capacity is 0.33 mm - 400 m. Shimano Ocea Jigger 1501 HG Left Handle is the reel from the baitcasting family that derives directly from the exclusively Japanese market. This is the ideal reel for all vertical techniques, such as slow pitch, vertical jigging etc. Furthermore, the weight (390 g) is very low. This reel has 7kg of max drag and a recovery of 6.3:1 (97cm per turn of the handle). There are 8 A-RB bearings, plus 1 roller (anti-return). The declared capacity is 500 m of PE 2, 400 m. of PE 2.5 and 320 meters of PE 3. The body is machined from solid material covered with the well-known Shimano EI anti-corrosion treatment which gives it that beautiful platinum colour. Finally, the mule is equipped with a spool release lever (black on the left side) which is engaged either manually or with the classic half turn of the handle as on normal casting mules and the buzzer on the right side of the reel.
