Ultimo erede della dinastia dei Pointer, il 158 SP ha delle linee più squadrate, che enfatizzano una azione scattante side to side. Un particolare peso in ottone interno crea un basso centro di gravità che gli permette di essere del tutto suspending in acqua dolce e slow floating in acqua salata.
